2. SECURE COMMUNICATION PRACTICES
- All legitimate HSO Marine emails will be sent exclusively from the @hsomarine.com and @huronsmithoil.com domains.
- We will never ask for passwords, full bank details, or confidential information via email.
- Login links should always direct to hsomarine.com or its verified subdomains.
3. USER TIPS
- Always verify the sender’s address.
- Do not click on suspicious links or download attachments from unknown senders.
- Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your account.
4. INCIDENT REPORTING
If you suspect you have received a fraudulent email impersonating HSO Marine, follow these steps:
- Do not reply or click any links in the suspicious message.
- Forward the email as an attachment to contact@hsomarine.com, including full headers if possible.
- Delete the message from your inbox and trash.
- Our security team will acknowledge receipt within 24 business hours and launch an investigation. We will inform you of the outcome within 5 business days. If the impersonation attempt is confirmed, we will take appropriate technical and legal measures.
5. INTERNAL MEASURES
HSO Marine implements SPF, DKIM, and DMARC email authentication, as well as regular employee training on phishing risks.
