1. INSTITUTIONAL COMMITMENT
HSO Marine (collectively, “HSO,” “HSO Marine,” “we,” or “the Provider”), operated by Huron Smith Oil CO INC, HSO Petroleum Services LLC, and HSO Global LLC, is committed to making its Platform accessible to all individuals, including those with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive disabilities, in compliance with the ADA, Section 508, the European Accessibility Act, and applicable Mississippi and Florida non-discrimination laws.
2. APPLICABLE STANDARDS
WCAG 2.2 Level AA is adopted as the primary standard, alongside ISO 14289-1 (PDF/UA) for downloadable documents. All new features are developed under these criteria.
3. GOVERNANCE
A Digital Accessibility Officer (legal@huronsmithoil.com) and a cross-functional Committee have been appointed, meeting quarterly to review progress and resolve incidents.
4. IMPLEMENTED FEATURES
- Text alternatives, captions, color contrast (4.5:1), resize up to 400%, color independence.
- Full keyboard navigation, skip links, visible focus, adjustable session times.
- Explicit labels, declared language, predictable behavior with ARIA.
- HTML5 semantic markup, tested with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
5. LIMITATIONS AND ALTERNATIVES
3D maps and AIS dashboards provide an equivalent accessible table view. A remediation roadmap is maintained.
6. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AND TESTING
Automated tests (axe-core, Lighthouse) run on every deployment, plus manual reviews and annual testing with users with disabilities.
7. THIRD-PARTY COMMITMENT
Suppliers are contractually required to meet WCAG 2.2 AA.
